However much I try to put aside the familiar materials, I find my soul drawn back again and again to natural material. Trying to put paint on them, of a color range that doesn’t blend with nature’s color scale… is foreign to me. I fell in love with gold, which as a sculptor, is another raw material to use and while searching for change, my eyes are drawn to the yellow of sand, red of earth browns, the raw the simple basic essential substance that contains everything, the depth of ideas and the soul… All that is required is to act, to work, to attempt, to touch. Recently I decided to remove the cover of sand from my work and replace the white concrete with gray, to let loose. Who knows what this day, the studio or the raw material will bring?????
